I am a philosopher from India, and I develop
social and political theory for our multi-cultural world.No person is an island—we live in a society.
I specialize in figuring out how we might better live together and understand one another. I do this by attending to how we navigate our social differences.I use
epistemology (theory of knowledge) and
hermeneutics (theory of understanding)
to address issues of democracy in multicultural/multiethnic/multiracial societies;
to create opportunities for inter-faith conversations;
to mediate across generational gaps;
to analyse our relationship to tradition;
to investigate how some of us become internet trolls;
and so on.Over the past decade, I have taught university core-courses, published articles, presented papers, organized workshops / reading groups / conferences, managed operations & peers, consulted stakeholders, learned languages, and—above all else—focused on fostering community wherever I have had the privilege of being.Despite my love for academia, I am open to pursuing alternative career paths—including policy research & development, program management, government affairs, or curation—in the future.I am currently affiliated with
Loyola University Chicago's
PhD Philosophy program.I have previously been affiliated with
Duquesne University (Pittsburgh, USA) &
St. Stephen's College, University of Delhi (India).
